DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING ECONOMICSAND FINANCE

Programme Officer ()

The Department of Accountancy Economics and Finance (AEF) is seeking a highly self-motivated and dynamic team member to support the the daily operation of a taught postgraduate programme at the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Marketing and admission: Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and events to attract prospective students. Coordinate programmes admission process including applicant communication interviews offer recommendation and relevant approval procedure;
  • Academic support: Provide administrative and logistic support to teaching related matters. Facilitate programmes development by coordinating the approval process of various programme documents;
  • Student service and development: Provide administrative and logistic support for students learning and a range of out-of-classroom activities and other experimental learning opportunities to enhance students academic and professional development;
  • Alumni engagement: Build and maintain strong relationship with alumni coordinate events and communications to foster an engaged alumni community;
  • General administration: Manage programme documentation prepare reports and ensure compliance with school policies and procedures; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Programme Director and the Department Head.

Requirements:

  • A bachelors degree with at least two years of relevant work experience preferably in programme administration/tertiary institutions;
  • Effective communication skills with excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills the ability to work independently;
  • Self-motivated with a detailed and analytical mindset; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications particularly MS Office.

Shortlisted candidates would be invited for an interview.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed term contract of two years commencing as soon as possible. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to subject to performance review mutual agreement and availability of funding.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
