We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our marketing organization. The BDR will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our business by identifying and engaging with potential customers to generate new business opportunities. As an integral part of the broader commercial team the BDR will focus on both prospecting and nurturing qualified marketing leads (MQLs) ensuring a smooth transition to the sales team. The role requires leveraging technology and tools to efficiently identify and manage leads throughout the sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualifying Leads: Ability to work urgently to evaluate the potential of both self-sourced leads and MQLs based on specific criteria ensuring they are ready for further sales engagement.
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Actively identify and engage new leads through research networking and utilizing various channels such as cold-calling social media email campaigns and events.
- Follow-up and Nurturing: Maintain regular communication with prospects or MQLs to provide information support and encouragement helping them move through the initial stages of the sales cycle.
- Appointment Setting: Coordinate meetings or calls between qualified leads and the sales team to facilitate further engagement and closure.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with both the marketing and sales teams to align on strategies share insights and ensure a seamless transition of leads.
- Technology Utilization: Leverage technology and tools such as CRM software and analytics platforms to efficiently identify track and manage leads throughout the sales process. Experience using AI for account research and development.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key metrics such as the number of leads generated conversion rates and appointments set to inform ongoing strategies and initiatives.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective outreach and relationship building.
- Sales and Marketing Techniques: Experience with sales and marketing techniques including cold calling and digital campaigns is beneficial.
- CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce to manage leads and track interactions.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to inform strategy and improve processes.
