Job Description

Job Title: Program Coordinator-Recreation and Wellness Operation Assessment

Wage/Hour Status: Nonexempt

Pay Group: A15Salary Plan

Primary Purpose: Coordinate and perform operational assessments of recreation/wellness craft shop and radio/tv programs.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Experience:

Bachelors degree from a college or university accredited by an organization

Experience: recognized by the council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major course work in Physical Education Kinesiology Recreation Business Administration or Criminal Justice is preferred.

Three (3) years of full-time wage-earning in a recreational program education or program administration experience.

Each year of experience in excess of the required three years may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year for year basis.

This position requires personal technology that will enable the completion of job duties and responsibilities when working remotely.

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to conduct reviews and to gather and interpret data.

Skill to communicate ideas and instructions clearly and effectively.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Coordinate schedule and perform operational-assessments of recreation/wellness craft shops and radio/tv programs to ensure policy compliance and adequacy of services..

2. Audit recreation/wellness craft shop and radio/tv programs to ensure program effectiveness.

3. Provide technical guidance and training to unit staff that are assigned recreation

/wellness and craft shop oversight

4. Collaborate with program staff to identify trends and areas in need of further assessment.

5. Assist with writing policies procedures and process management guidelines related to the recreation/wellness craft shop and radio/tv programs.

6. Perform other duties as assigned

Policy Reports and Law:

7. Prepare and submit all reports pertaining to recreation program monitoring activities.

8. Recommend revisions to the review process for recreation programs

9. Report findings and assist in the development of corrective action plans.

10. Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive information received in the performance of the job duties.

11. Perform duties in a professional manner through daily punctual attendance at location of work assignment.

12. Follow Windham School District policies and procedures in completing assigned job duties.

13. Execute duties in a professional ethical and responsible manner as defined in 19 TAC Chapter 247 Code of Ethics and Standard Practices for Texas Educators.
