Job Summary
Project Environmental Manager
Are you keen to joining a diverse team running International projects in the area of large infrastructure projects aiming to connect a greener world Working closely with our international customers we develop manufacture and install efficient environmentally friendly and technologically advanced high-voltage cables for land and offshore applications worldwide.
Take the lead on all project environmental related activities
Your role includes developing and ensuring the implementation of project Environmental plans according to NKT standards and external requirements such as contract permits and legal requirements. You will provide the project with timely environmental documentation ensuring successful projects deliveries and implementation of environmental control measures.
You will analyze and consider the requirements of the contract and prioritize within your own scope. You will handle the whole spectrum; from coordinating and supporting risk assessments to the controlling and monitoring of contractors reporting to customers and being our customer interface regarding environmental topics. Regular visits to the installation sites to monitor performance and give support is an important part of the role.
Besides the above your responsibilities will also include:
- Monitoring reporting and record keeping of Environmental risks non-conformities and Environment related KPIs and statistics of any kind required by the project
- Plan & follow up all environmental activities in the project and ensure process compliance
- Support in the environmental incident investigation
- Involved in sustainability activities to reduce environmental impact and to meet requirements
- Sustainability reporting according to internal and external requirements
Communicative project managerwith a self-going and driven attitude
In your daily collaboration within the project team as well as with our customers your strong communication and team player skills will be important. Your driven energetic and positive mindset supports creating genuine engagement within the teams. You take on a supportive and coaching approach in order to support in the delivery of a successful project ensuring high customer satisfaction.
As someone with competence in Environment you are likely to have a few years of experience from a similar role. Your understanding of legal permit and contract requirements is a good foundation for you to create solid documentation meeting existing requirements.
Additionally your CV includes:
- BSc degree preferably MSc within Engineering Environment or Business
- Minimum 5 years work experience within HSE relating to onshore and offshore installation projects
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Authorization to work in the Netherlands
