Job Description:
- Theincumbent Senior Deal Specialistcreates validates and processes contract documentation using Oracles standard document templates a set ofcontract options and in accordance with Oracles policies and business approvals in response to requests received from Sales.
- The incumbent Senior Deal Specialist follows defined engagement guidelines to liaise with other Deal Management teams Finance Legal and othergroups across Oracle to ensure policy compliance and mitigate corporate risk.
- The incumbent Senior Deal Specialist may work in amulticultural environment and cover multiple countries and/or lines of business. The work is fast paced and seasonal in nature corresponding with Oracles quarterly and annual fiscal cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting highly complex/ nonstandard contracts oragreements across multiple line of business countries byutilizing approved standard and non-standard options to address all contract variations requested by Sales.
- As needed Validate &Ensure prepared documents by team members are in compliance with Oracle guidelines and policies (including Oracles business practicespricing licensing and revenue recognition principles) in order to mitigate Oracles risk.
- Project manage & Lead deals by collaborating and bringing all teams such as Finance Legal Compliance sales DPOs etc on one single platform. Also support team members in project managing deals by participating in calls and providing constructive inputs.
- Collaborate with DPOs Legal teams to have the Non standard terms/ options standardized in turn support reduction in legal engagement.
- Partner with Sales on approvals& other Customer requirements fornon-standard/ Complex transactions.
- Support internal teams byinterpreting terms already included in drafted documents as well as providingadvice on non-standard terms prior to the finalization of a document.
- When a Deal Manager is managing a deal partner with the Deal Manager with Customer Centric approach to ensure that stakeholderexpectations and deliverables are met. When a deal is not being managed by a Deal Manager act as the primary contactfor the contracting process for internal business partners.
- Proactively manage the Deal Plan facilitating involvement and commitment from all parties until the contracting process has concluded. Conduct sales stakeholder management calls with multiple LOBs.
- Knowledge management of team by supporting in new joinee trainings existing and new updates of contract processes systems tools and applications.
- Customer Centric Pre-empt potential issues and fix the root cause rather than issue alone. Support team members to Identify/anticipate problems and initiate actions to ensure Customer requirement are delivered efficiently.
- Participate in global and regional projects UATs initiatives and keep the team updated on the improvements taking place
- Auditing requests and ensuring compliance of self and teams towards processes defined
- Other responsibilities may be deemed appropriate by Oracle management.

Experience & Qualifications:
- Worked independently within defined policies and procedures with minimum or no supervision

- Project managing skills of hosting and driving discussions with multiple stakeholders to achieve the desired outcome.

- Experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial and/or local government contracts.
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel.
- Over 5 to 8 years experience in drafting reviewing commercial contracts and facilitating contract discussions.
- BA/BS degree. *Business Management/ Finance Certification or equivalent certificate. (Legal certification would be an added advantage).
- Expert in drafting complex contractual documents.
- *Prior experience in leadership preferred.

The Deal Specialist follows defined engagement guidelines to liaise with other Deal Management teams Finance Legal and other groups across Oracle to ensure policy compliance and mitigate corporate risk. The Deal Manager leads and manages the contracting process end-to-end for strategic complex transactions that meet regional criteria requiring Deal Manager involvement. The Deal Manager sets the overall direction for his/her assigned managed deal(s) and is responsible for the successful execution of the contracting process ensuring consistency and adherence with Oracle strategy commitments and goals as well as compliance with Oracle policies and procedures. The Deal Manager facilitates and co-coordinates discussion amongst Sales and multiple Oracle functional stakeholders (i.e. Deal Specialist RevRec Finance Legal OFD Business Practices Migrations Order Management etc.) to reach agreement on contracting terms in order to solve complex contracting scenarios and meet the specific needs of his/her assigned managed deal(s).
