Auditors:
Examine analyze and interpret accounting records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing statements. Install or advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.

The New York State Department of Health is hiring entry- to mid-level Auditors to support financial compliance and accountability efforts. Key Responsibilities
- Review examine and interpret accounting and financial records.
- Analyze documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
- Prepare audit reports written summaries and recommendations.
- Assist in developing and improving financial recording systems.
- Communicate findings effectively through written and oral presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure fiscal accountability.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and compliance standards; internship or prior auditing experience a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel Word).
