Job Description

AMXL Middle Mile is seeking a dynamic individual to spearhead the Account Management function of its expanding network. This exciting role offers the opportunity to build a middle mile network for AMXL Japan where one will lead a portfolio of third-party logistics (3PL) partners responsible for transporting H&B goods across the AMXL network. As AMXL operates an end-to-end logistics network this role is accountable for both Fleet Management (on-road capacity) and the account management of AMXL Sort Center addition to these core responsibilities the role also supports key AMZL programs such as: (a) HUB DP supply-run connections (b) building future Easy Ship pickup capacity and (c) developing supplementary capacity solutions for the JP AMXL network to support evolving business needs including JR Cargo (rail) and transshipment connections.

Key job responsibilities
This role is pivotal to scaling AMXL operations by owning the full lifecycle of partner engagement from on-boarding to commercial negotiations and long-term performance governance.
The key functional responsibilities of the role include:

(1) Account management Owning strategic high-value relationships with 3PL carriers and Sort Center partners. The role requires strong cross-functional alignment with key stakeholders such as ROC Finance and Operations.

(2) Cost optimization Driving network-wide cost efficiencies by managing rate cards negotiating contracts for SC facilities and building scalable pricing models. The role also includes benchmarking contracts and rates against industry standards to ensure competitiveness.

(3) Capacity procurement Onboarding new Middle Mile partners specialized in 2PLP handling managing SC capacity and scaling to support emerging programs like HUB DP milk runs and Easy Ship.

(4) Performance Compliance and Safety Driving long-term quality commitment from partners by ensuring consistent performance reliability and adherence to service standards. The role also oversees safety regulatory contractual and legal compliance through close collaboration with WHS TRC and Legal teams.

The role requires constant attention to operational metrics stakeholder management and partner engagement through activities like site visits and contract reviews while simultaneously driving strategic initiatives and cost optimization projects through cross-functional collaboration.

AMXL consolidates supply chain tech FC operations transportation delivery stations and last mile delivery. We also provide special handling services such as Room of Choice delivery Haul-Away and Installation/Assembly for select items.

AMXLAMXLFC/

- Bachelors degree
- 4 years of experience in sales account/vendor/stakeholder management or equivalent experience
- Business level of Japanese and English
- Experience analyzing data and best practices to assess performance drivers

- 3 years of client or vendor facing roles with a focus in relationship management and negotiation skills experience
- Experience aggregating and analyzing internal and external campaign metrics to assess performance drivers and identify insights
