Job Summary/Basic Functions
Principal Investigator: Dr. Smita Joshi Department of Biological Sciences
Project Description: Join a funded research project investigating how bioactive compounds could be used to prevent blood clots and treat cardiovascular disease. This is a paid position and an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a biomedical research lab contributing to work that could lead to safer more effective therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with lab experiments including in vitro platelet assays.
Help with data collection and analysis.
Conduct literature reviews and maintain detailed research records.
Who Were Looking For:
A hard-working curious and detail-oriented team player with a strong interest in biomedical research.
Must have completed at least BIO 111 and BIO 112 preferably a sophomore or junior.
No prior research experience is required; we will provide all necessary training.
Should be available for 910 hours per week with at least one continuous 45-hour block of time available on a single day (Mon-Thurs).
