Rosebank College has a proud and varied history of over 150 years as part of the Good Samaritan family established in 1857 and belonging to the Benedictine spiritual and educational tradition founded by St Benedict in the 4th century. About the Role
A school of Good Samaritan Education Rosebank College seeks expressions of interest for the Communications and Engagement Manager position. Reporting to the College Principal leads the Communication and Engagement and is employed full-time and permanently.
Commencing in January 2026 this role is responsible for providing leadership in developing and promoting the Rosebank College brand communications media events community engagement and marketing strategies. The Communications and Engagement Manager is responsible for the Communications and Engagement Teams leadership including the Digital and Creative Officer Events Manager Community and Engagement Liaison Administration Assistant (Archives/ Alumni) and Archivist. The Communications and Engagement Manager will work with the team to translate strategies into College-wide campaigns to support the strategic plan mission vision values and College growth and improvement.
This role works collaboratively with all staff within the College including students and external stakeholders media outlets event groups parents and carers students and alumni groups.

About You
As the Communications and Engagement Manager you will:
- Lead a dynamic team of professionals in delivering Rosebanks strategic communications and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee the strategic internal and external communications and marketing brand management media social media engagement community awareness campaigns fundraising and stakeholder engagement strategies on behalf of the College.
- Amplify the work of the Rosebank brand through innovative campaigns and media engagement consistently implementing best practice methods.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team and directly contribute to the Colleges mission and vision.
- Demonstrate flexibility by taking on additional roles within the team as required.
- Always act in the best interest of Rosebank College.
The successful candidate will be a competent professional staff member highly motivated to support Rosebank College. All staff are expected to support the colleges vision and goals as a learning community and contribute to all aspects of College life.
To be considered for this position you must meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing communications or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in communications or marketing.
- Demonstrated experience in leading social marketing campaigns (community awareness/behaviour) and experience with community engagement methodologies.
- Highly developed strategic marketing communications and project management skills in a fast-paced complex environment.
- Proven track record in successful delivery and evaluation of campaigns and critical events.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience managing relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including senior leaders.
- Ability to be self-motivated responsive and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A willingness to promote the Good Samaritan and Benedictine values of the College.
- Sound knowledge with a high level of computer literacy and demonstrated skills in Microsoft Office Social Media Platforms Google Business WordPress and database management.
- Possess a valid Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to child safeguarding principles.
