Job Summary:
Join the eCommerce team of Cat Digital and be responsible for identifying investigating monitoring and resolving customer issues in accordance with standards and processes.
Provide application engineering support in the role of a system admin for . This person will be responsible for monitoring the application and providing technical support to while verifying the integrity and availability of computing resources.

- User administration: Managing user accounts access rights and permissions
- Technical support: Providing technical support and resolving software and hardware problems
- Maintaining systems: Maintaining the information systems and their data
- Monitoring system performance: Monitoring network and system performance
- Installing and updating systems: Installing and configuring software hardware and networks
- Security: Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Database administration: Maintaining system performance and efficiency
- Documentation: Creating documentation to identify the expertise and skills required in the team
- Disaster recovery planning: Planning for disaster recovery
- Tracking emerging technologies: Tracking emerging technologies and implementing them in the organization
- Account setup: Performing account setup for new and old employees
- Data backup: Creating a backup and safeguarding the data
What You Will Have:
- Customer Focus: Extensive knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Effective Communications: Extensive understanding of effective communication concepts tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit receive and accurately interpret ideas information and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
- Systems Thinking: Working knowledge of the critical interdependencies among individual system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results.
- Business Intelligence: Extensive knowledge of business intelligence; ability to utilize business processes and technologies for gathering storing analyzing and providing access to data that helps the organization make better business decisions.
- Application Design Architecture: Basic knowledge of basic activities and deliverables of application design; ability to utilize application design methodologies tools and techniques to convert business requirements and logical models into a technical application design.
- Data Warehousing: Working knowledge of how to collect data from different information sources and distribute them to users; ability to simplify information systems and make sound business decisions.
- Systems Software Infrastructure: Working knowledge of computer architecture and system software interaction; ability to design and build a fundamental architecture of operating systems database management systems communications protocols compilers and other development tools.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Extensive knowledge of technical troubleshooting approaches tools and techniques; ability to anticipate recognize and resolve technical issues on hardware software application or operation.
Considerations for Top Candidates:
- Proficient with HCL WebSphere Commerce
- Experience with AWS services: EC2 S3 VPC Route 53 RDS CloudFormation EC2 DynamoDB (NoSQL) Lambda logging/CloudWatch IAM Certificate Manager ELB EBS ECS CloudFront/WAF SQS SNS SES.
- Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems
- In-depth experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL
- Application Performance Management (APM) especially AppDynamics and Synthetic Monitoring
- Practical experience with Azure DevOps
- Expertise with relational databases support querying and database reporting
- Working experience with programming languages: Java Python Powershell SQL and JSON
- Working knowledge on deploying autoscaling features Expertise with high availability architecture
- Strong written and verbal communication
- 5 years of Java Docker Kubernetes experience (but open / Python/ Scala) or at least 3 years of experience in with masters degree in computer science or related field.
- IT Service Management (ITSM) experience
- Cloud environment deployment experience relates to large scale environments but also how can we measure and tune verse guessing at configurations settings understanding contain builds and how they run in Kubernetes
- Understanding system and application memory and CPU patterns
- Understand the data we collect in AppD and Grafana and be able to answer questions like are we healthy and stable
- Having strong Linux skills Being able to access containers processes and debug directly on systems
- eCommerce experience especially HCL Commerce version 9
- Expertise in Linux operating systems
- Expertise with relational databases support querying and database reporting
- Knowledge of secure coding and personal identifiable information (PII) handling
- Network experience including firewalls and DNS
- Working experience with SQL JSON and KQL
- Expertise with high availability architecture
Additional Information:
This position will have the option to be based out of our Chicago IL and Peoria IL offices.

Summary Pay Range:
$95640.00 - $143520.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors job level market locationjob-related knowledge skills individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
