Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent. Several years experience in general maintenance field.
REPORTS TO:ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF MAINTENANCE/BUILDING PRINCIPAL
JOB GOAL:To assist the maintenance department in developing and maintaining a safe healthy clean and positive environment in which children staff and the community attend school.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
These responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to the following:
- Maintain and repair all kitchen equipment to include domestic water heaters and refrigeration equipment.
- All general electrical maintenance and repair.
- Repair and maintain all electrical panels and switch gear.
- Provide electrical service for any new equipment.
- Keep necessary equipment properly calibrated.
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
- Know understand and keep current on related codes.
- Help in maintaining fire alarm systems.
- Have basic working knowledge of related control systems.
- Keep all equipment properly lubricated and calibrated.
- Inspect and repair air conditioning equipment.
- Inspect and repair designated heating systems.
- Have a working knowledge of HVAC controls.
- Do light welding when needed.
- Take care of emergencies and any other work as deemed necessary.
- Assist tradesmen for other departments when trade lines cross.
- Must be able to follow instructions both written and oral.
- Must be able to perform all assigned duties.
- Must be available for after-hours emergencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Director of Maintenance and Operations and/or Supervisor.
- Works with others consistently in a cooperative and respectful manner.
TERMS:Twelve months salary to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION:Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in compliance with the Boards policy on evaluation and classified personnel.
