Position Summary: Coordinates and directs departments production of quality product in a safe and timely manner. Responsible for the manufacturing activities equipment and people assigned that department and shift.
2. Major Responsibilities/Activities (List in order of importance the essential functions of the job and the approximate percentage of time spent on each of the activities; describe what must be accomplished not how it must be done.):
a. Monitor daily production activities and responsible for meeting department production quality and safety goals.

Effectively supervise and provide guidance for the manufacturing operations according to Policy Procedures and guideline to assure legal and ethical compliance.

c. Clearly communicate production goals and establish a plan to achieve those goals through action and delegation. Support management initiatives and provide effective leadership for those initiatives.

d. Strive for continuous improvement in the areas of safety quality cost scrap reduction and housekeeping through employee involvement and improvement teams.

Effectively communicate to Shift personnel Department Supervisors Management and Support personnel through written verbal and electronic means on a daily basis to assure necessary information is transmitted and available as needed.

3. Other Functions:
a. BBS Involvement and support
b. Improvement Team involvement and support.

4. Decision Making:
Responsible for making independent decisions on a daily basis concerning production scheduling and employee related matters.
5. Financial Responsibility (Budget requirements purchasing authority or recommendations control cost):
Control cost through efficient use of resources (including overtime) scrap reduction quality and improvements to productivity and safety.
6. Contacts (Interaction with staff management other plants suppliers/vendors and/or within the community):
Interact with Hourly employees Department and Shift Supervisors Management Support personnel.
7. Knowledge Skills and Abilities (Include education experience reasoning ability special skills computer ability and licenses or certifications required):
Minimum High School Diploma previous industrial experience required. Must have the ability to operate computer and required programs.
8. Supervisory Responsibilities (if any):
Responsible for department operations to include hourly production employees or other assigned employees.
9. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to work on plant floor to include standing and climbing stairs if needed in a variable temperature environment.
This is a 3rd Shift Position. Salary is based on experience and leadership skills. Base range is $75K-$83K.
