You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailTreasury is seekinga Senior Associate who is highly dependable intellectually curious and can handle pressure to be a key member of Corporate TreasurysCollateral Management team. Collateral Management is responsible for posting/collecting collateral to support several types of programs and transactions such as Derivatives (Uncleared and Cleared) Capital Market transactions Collateralization of certain funding facilities and specific client deposit programs. The ideal candidate will possess a risk mindset and has experience in Capital Markets Operations Swap Dealer Requirements Compliance or Audit.
Responsibilities
Manage the calculation collection and posting of variation and initial margin / independent amount for derivative transactions in the Collateral Management System
Ensures collateral posted to Capital One by counterparties is maintained in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and legal agreement terms including appropriate segregation if applicable
Monitors the internal initial margin threshold with each counterparty to ensure we establish swap documentation timely
Identifies margin discrepancies manages valuation dispute process and related reporting.
Recommend and implement process changes to improve operational efficiency and decrease risks
Developing and maintaining productive relationships with key internal and external partners
Support all corporate collateral management programs and daily monthly and quarterly reporting in accordance with internal controls and policies
Performs reconciliation of collateral custody accounts
Support Internal/External Audit requests
Support ad hoc project-related initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or Military experience
At least 2 years of experience with Treasury/Capital Markets or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in Capital Markets or Capital Markets Compliance
At least 1 year of experience using G-Suite products
At least 1 year of experience coding experience (Python SQL etc.)
At least 1 year of experience demonstrating an understanding of derivatives and mortgage-backed securities
Strong communication and analytical skills
At least 1 year of experience creating presentations and/or explaining complex information to different audiences

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean VA: $109000 - $124400 for Sr. Analyst Capital Markets & RiskCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
