Job Description
The AWS Applied AI Solutions Finance team is seeking a highly effective Principal Program Manager to support our fast-growing and innovation-driven organization. Our mission is to build the worlds best agentic AI applications and were looking for a strategic visionary program leader to shape how we plan measure and accelerate our financial and operational success.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about artificial intelligence curious about emerging technologies and energized by driving alignment and execution across VP-level organizations. The Principal Program Manager will lead critical cross-org initiatives spanning Finance Data Analytics and Strategic Planning while also playing a key role in shaping priorities for the CFO Council and broader AWS Finance leadership.
Key job responsibilities
AWS-wide Program Leadership
-Partner with the Applied AI Finance Leadership Team to manage AWS CFO-lead program(s) with internal stakeholders and external customers
-Own executive briefing documents metric scorecards and strategic insights for leadership reviews
-Coordinate high-visibility deliverables and synthesize business and financial results to support effective decision-making
Applied AI Finance Program Management
-Drive execution of strategic initiatives across Finance Data Science and Analytics such as forecasting tools KPI standardization cost transparency and automation efforts
-Lead cross-functional programs spanning Finance Product and Engineering teams ensuring alignment on goals timelines and expected impact
-Track milestones risks and dependencies while creating scalable mechanisms to monitor and report program progress
-Define project scope draft business requirements and support user testing and operational readiness
-Collaborate closely with partners across Data Engineering Sales Operations and Business Operations to drive process improvements and deliver results.
Community & Mentorship
-Actively mentor and develop the next generation of PMs and program leaders raising the bar for program management excellence.
-Represent AWS Applied AI Solutions Finance within the broader Amazon PM community contributing best practices and thought leadership.
- 9 years of program or project management experience
- 9 years of cross functional project delivery experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience defining and executing program requirements
- 9 years of managing analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 9 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience
- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- Experience delivering projects within scope time budget and quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
