Job Description
Sherwin-Williams is a global player in the world of paints and automotive Lelystad we produce car refinish paints for cars that have paint addition to the production department we also have sales (color) development R&D marketing distribution and a customer training center in Lelystad.

For the R&D department at our location in Lelystad we are looking for an: R&D Chemist
Responsibilities
- Lead projects for the development of new/modified products
- Respond to questions from the production department quality control and customers related to product quality and application.
- Assure timely project completion according to customer requirements
- Demonstrate knowledge of various technologies
- Report on project progress and presenting technical achievements to stakeholders
- Influence supervisor to support an idea/plan and consider the potential impact of the business
- Provide team support by encouraging collaboration and providing suggestions/resources to overcome obstacles
- May coach or serve as a lead to technicians
Qualifications
- Relevant chemistry experience experience within the paint and/or coatings industry is preferred
- Product development experience Project management experience
- Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering
- Applying intermediate professional chemistry principles and practices
- Good command of English Fluent in Dutch
- Experience in dealing with a production plant
- Process improvement oriented mindset
