You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAAMAs Prevention & Counseling Minorities Action Program is seeking a self-motivated highly organized detailed and goal-orientated Bilingual Lead Prevention Navigator for a key position whose overall responsibilities will bethe day-to-day operations outreach and case management efforts for the Prevention Navigator Program.
The purpose of this program is to provide substance use and HIV prevention services to all persons at high risk for substance use disorders (SUDs) HIV infection. and STIs. The program places emphasis on high risk individuals who are not in stable housing and/or reside in communities with high rates of HIV Viral Hepatitis (including Hep A B and C) and/or Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs). With this program SAMHSA aims to build a solid foundation for delivering and sustaining quality and accessible state-of-the-science substance misuse and HIV prevention services for high-risk populations.

Job Description:
Provide leadership and guidance to a team of Navigators in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Coordinate and oversee the implementation of program initiatives.
Provide addiction counseling and crisis management support to clients.
Collaborate with community partners to ensure access to behavioral health services.
Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to engage and empower clients.
Assist clients in navigating social service systems
Attend meetings coordinate CAB meeting Conduct outreach complete surveys and documentation
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in social work or related field preferred. 2 years case management experience preferred. Will consider experience in lieu of degree.
Experience in addiction counseling crisis management HIV/STD or related field.
Strong knowledge of behavioral health resources and services.
Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community partners.
Experience working with a diverse population and individuals experiencing substance use and health issues
Comfortable in conducting outreach in the community
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to maintain and protect client confidentiality. Ability to remain calm and make informed well-thought-out decisions at all times. Ability to effectively deal with and help resolve client crisis situations. Ability to collaborate well with a team of caregivers to ensure the best quality care for clients.
