TEAMSTERS Parts Manufacturer - Plant 2

GENERAL PURPOSE:

To form straighten and shear wire to joint stock specifications and configurations as required.

GENERAL DUTIES:

To set and maintain quality components produced with complex set-ups feed and speed adjustments set castor and camber finish draw (single and double die set-up) straighten and shear wire to specifications. Load and unload material through operations. Performs routine testing SPC charting and completes reports as required.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Receives verbal or written instructions. Loads coil stock on unwinder. Uses pedestal grinder to point wire. Loads die and/or draw machine as required. Completes set ups and adjustments to manufacture quality joint part components.

Running of three complete machines is required. Incumbent uses a variety of manufacturing skills and safety procedures. Blueprint reading semi-complicated measuring equipment (i.e. micrometer comparitors etc.) computations involving decimals.

Makes decisions based on guidelines and experience necessary for quality operations. Interpersonal relationships require discussion and involve recommendations (i.e. resolving equipment tooling problems).

Heavy physical exertion and close mental attention is required with extended periods of disagreeable conditions. Incumbent will keep the area in a neat and orderly fashion.

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program including safety rules practices and training asoutlined in the BorgWarner Safety Policy Manual which includes the use of equipment protective devices or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and addition he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations incidents or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.

Salary: Starting Hourly $22.26
