Job Description

ITHACA INTERNAL JOB POSTING: Only members in good standing of the Teamster Union Local #317 currently employed at BorgWarner Ithaca LLC will be considered for this position. All other applicants will not be considered.

General

  • Demonstrated competency to make significant decisions and follow instructions.

Communications

  • Demonstrated competency in effective communications using reading writing and verbal skills.
  • Blueprint experience/training.

Math

  • Demonstrated competency to perform basic math skills (add subtract multiply divide); make computations using decimals fractions and whole numbers.

Mechanical

  • Demonstrated competency with use of basic hand tools micrometers.
  • Demonstrated competency operating complicated machinery.
  • Ability to learn/perform complex set-ups and quality procedures.
  • Able to operate three complete complex machines and semi-complicated measuring equipment.

Physical

  • Able to do heavy physical exertion requiring constant standing moving repetitive lifting pulling and pushing close mental/visual attention.
  • Able to work in dirty noisy environment.
