Job Description
Labcorp Womens Health and Genetics part of the LabCorp Specialty Testing Group is seeking an experiencedandmotivated individualto join a team of genetic counselors to support busy maternal fetal medicine practice in Los Angeles CA. This individual will be responsible for providing in-person and virtual comprehensive prenatal genetic counseling services and may also support our Results Reporting Programs.
The schedule for this position is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. The Genetic Counselor will be required to work onsite in the Los Angeles/Beverly Hills area. Candidates must be located in the Los Angeles area or be willing to relocate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for a wide variety of complex indications from an extensive referral base both onsite and via video conference
- Engage in professional growth opportunities including writing abstracts and publications physician education and other projects
- Have access to the expertise of a nation-wide organization of medical geneticists biochemical and molecular geneticists and over 100 counseling colleagues

Requirements:
- MA/MS in Human Genetics/Genetic Counseling
- ABGC/ABMG certification or active candidate status required
- Candidates with current ABGC certification highly preferred
- Must be able to obtain CA Genetic Counselor license prior to start date
- 2 years experience as a clinical genetic counselor preferred (post completion of Masters program)
- Previous prenatal genetic counseling experience highly preferred
- Highly organized including excellent time management skills
- Strong multi-tasking ability with excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office
**Salary Range: $94000 - $125000 / year
All job offers will bebased on a candidates skills and prior relevant experience applicabledegrees/certificationsas well as internal equity and market data.
