Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Orion MI on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a Dimensional Engineer at Orion Assembly you will support the launch and long-term dimensional integrity of the T1XX-X programs. Initially focused on either the A-side or B-side of the Body Shop you will expand your scope as the build progresses ultimately supporting both sides of the system. Working under the guidance of the Lead Dimensional Engineer you will help establish robust measurement systems validate tooling and fixtures and ensure dimensional alignment across Paint and General Assembly (GA).
This role is critical not only during launch but also in steady-state production where you will maintain dimensional stability support supplier quality and mentor emerging talent. You will be expected to engage with suppliers to request and validate dimensional data occasionally traveling to support build events and quality reviews. Your work will directly influence A B and C metrics and contribute to the overall quality of the vehicle.
