Job Description

Otaki Vets is a busy companion animal clinic situated in Otaki on the beautiful Kapiti Coast. As we grow an opportunity for a special companion animal veterinarian to join our team has arisen. Otaki Vets is a well equipped community based clinic offering a wide variety of surgery and treatment options for our lovely clients and their furry families. We have an experienced and dedicated nursing and customer service team to support you as you care for our patients and their guardians.

Otaki Vets places the patients we care for at the heart of everything we do but we dont forget about our team members. Most of our team work on a permanent part time basis to allow for a good work life balance. Access to surgical and medicine specialists make referring patients easier as well as providing opportunities to expand knowledge and grow in areas of interest.

Professional development is encouraged and CPD opportunities are plentiful. Afterhours call work is not required as our patients are referred to after hour facilities to ensure continuity of care where required.

A little about you:

A qualified Veterinarian registered with the New Zealand Veterinary Council

A team player who enjoys working with a small close-knit team where you will get to know your clients and want to grow your relationships with them and their furry family

Committed to a high standard of patient care with efficient maintenance of patient records

Calm and compassionate with a willingness to learn and grow

Fuelled by making a difference in the community and providing a variety of veterinary services to the patients in your care

A little about the job:

Full time role (40 hours per week) with participation in the Saturday roster.

Remuneration based on experience

Dedicated CPD allowance

Payment of Veterinary Council fees
