The employer and the opportunity

This well-established locally owned and operated business in South Auckland proudly represents a range of top farm equipment brands. With a dedicated and professional team their conveniently located workshop is ideally positioned to serve a diverse client base.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and experienced diesel mechanic to take on a hands-on role involving mechanical repairs routine servicing maintenance and diagnosing technical issues across a variety of farming equipment tractors and small engines. The position is mainly based in the workshop with occasional field service work as required.

This is a full time permanent role offering a minimum of 40 hours per week with occasional overtime.

Requirements

  • A relevant automotive trade qualification is essential with a preference for those qualified as Diesel Mechanics
  • This role is not suited to entry-level candidates it requires well-rounded mechanical servicing and repair skills along with strong diagnostic expertise
  • Hands-on experience with farming or agricultural machinery and tractors is highly preferred; however candidates with other heavy equipment backgrounds will also be considered
  • Strong technical and communication skills are essential along with a current and clean NZ drivers licence
  • A positive work ethic and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are also important
