The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) is seeking a full-time temporary Camp Cook to be an essential community member of passionate educators and learners. They provide more than just food they offer thoughtful menus comfort and nourishment for all. The Camp Cook helps to plan menus and cooks for the programs at Hancock Field Station near Fossil Oregon. This position is scheduled to start as soon as possible and end on November 7 2025.
Qualified candidates will have but not limited to:
- Current Oregon Food Handlers Card
- Valid drivers license
- Meets OMSIs driving standards which includes a completing a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
- Must be at least 18 years old to operate repair or clean power-driven food slicers grinders choppers and mixers
- Combination of experience and education equivalent to a high school diploma.
- Experience working and/or cooking in a commercial kitchen with the ability to cook meals and baking from scratch
The Camp Cook has a daily pay of $146.96 and is eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:
- Accrued sick time with no waiting period. Hours carry over year to year up to 520 hours;
