Machinists are highly skilled and detail-oriented individuals who are responsible for operating manual and CNC lathes and mills to ensure the production of high-quality parts. We are a job shop who repairs and rebuilds parts for all of Idaho Forest Groups mills. Occasional overtime is required for large projects and mill outages or repairs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Machinists are required to setup program and operate CNC and manual lathes and mills.
- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce precise parts.
- Inspect machined parts using standard measuring equipment to ensure adherence to tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of machining equipment.
- Plan and coordinate project workflows to ensure efficient use of resources and timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in machining operations with a good understanding of CNC and manual machining techniques and equipment.
- Experience in programing for CNC machines.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
- Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test post-offer pre-employment physical and background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical school training or apprenticeship.
- Mastercam experience in 31 and 4 axis mill programming.
- Mastercam experience in 2 and 21 lathe programing.
- Overhead crane experience.
- Valid drivers license.
PAY RANGE: $35.84 - $43.93
