Job Description:
As Project Control Officer / Finance Specialist you will be primarily responsible for partnering with operational leadership and finance colleagues to deliver accurate timely and highly valued accounting and financial support. Additionally you are accountable for the support of CGI business units and their operations by delivering sound well-documented analyses project and contract accounting treatment rationale forecasts and reconciliations.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Analytical support of the budgeting and forecast process delivering well supported and documented financial plans Working closely with BU partners to understand their business help them understand their financial drivers and challenge their assumptions Delivering accurate insightful and timely analysis of financial results compared against forecasts and budgets Managing project and client financials according to contract; understanding key terms in contracts financial implications of changes in those terms and the technical accounting impact of contracts Preparing and presenting financial results with meaningful/accurate commentary to business unit stakeholders Analysis of Balance sheet entries ensuring balance sheet integrity Manage special requests and collaborate on in-house projects.
Qualifications:
Graduate of Business Administration Commerce Computer Science and/or related field
With 3 - 5 years Operations Finance and Administrative support experience
Excellent communications skills and being able to facilitate meetings take down minutes respond to emails and has the ability to communicate to non-finance stakeholders
Keen to details experienced in technology environment and with strong work ethic and flexibility to meet dynamic business needs
Advanced skills in MS Excel
Leadership skills takes initiative self-starter critical thinking and a problem solver
PMO/PCO experience is an advantage
