Structural Engineer The Hague Netherlands
Location: The Hague Netherlands (Hybrid work possible)
6 month contract Engineering & Design Team
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team based in The Hague. You will work on a range of industrial and energy projects supporting the full project lifecycle from conceptual design through to construction support. This role requires proficiency in SCIA Engineer software and a solid understanding of Dutch structural codes and Eurocodes (NEN-EN standards).
The position offers flexibility collaboration with international teams and the opportunity to work on technically challenging and meaningful projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures using SCIA Engineer.
Apply and interpret Dutch and European structural codes (NEN Eurocodes).
Produce technical documentation including calculations specifications and reports.
Collaborate with drafting and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Participate in design reviews and interface with clients and other stakeholders.
Support site visits and inspections as needed during execution phases.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering preferably in industrial petrochemical or energy-related projects.
Strong command of SCIA Engineer for structural design and analysis.
Knowledge of Dutch national annexes and structural design codes is essential.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Dutch language not required.
Strong communication and coordination skills in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Desirable Skills (a plus not mandatory):
Familiarity with additional tools such as Tekla Structures Revit or .
Experience in brownfield projects and working within EPC environments.
Understanding of dynamic loading seismic design or foundation engineering.
