We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead the Sales Force (food service) and distributors within the assigned region to achieve commercial objectives such as sales targets distribution and merchandising. This role involves actively participating in the ICP process supporting the development of the Field Sales Strategy and implementing the Channel Strategy and Customer Plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assigning individual sales targets to each salesperson and ensuring alignment with regional goals.
- Overseeing the performance of the sales team in areas including sell-out distribution merchandising and the effectiveness and productivity of sales calls.
- Tracking sales performance against targets on a daily and monthly basis offering recommendations for corrective actions when necessary.
- Regularly reviewing and updating business plans with customers.
- Planning and executing regional sales promotion activities within the allocated budget.
- Monitoring the implementation of Point of Purchase (POP) materials by the sales force to ensure consistency with commercial plans (Brand/Channel/Customer Strategies) primarily through meetings market visits and audits.
- Designing and optimizing the territory plan to ensure efficient routes and itineraries for the sales team in the region.
- Managing distributor relationships including recruitment selection performance management and coordination with the Account Manager and Channel Development Team for terminations.
- Overseeing TTS spending to ensure alignment with the regional budget.
- Ensuring smooth regional office operations.
- Reviewing and approving field sales incentives ensuring accuracy and eligibility.
- Strengthening field sales execution by promoting the delivery of Field Management Best Practices (FMBP).
- Ensuring timely payment collection from customers and taking actions to minimize bad debts.
- Collaborating with other Regional Sales Managers to share best practices and coordinating with cross-functional teams on regional sales initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with WHO Code company policies local regulations and legal standards in achieving objectives.
- Driving people development by managing performance supporting career planning and providing coaching to the field sales team.
Are You a Good Fit
- A Bachelors degree in Marketing Business Administration or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Regional Sales Manager or 4 years as an Area Sales Manager.
- A strong understanding of all sales functions (Trade Marketing Customer Field Sales).
- Proven experience in team and field sales management distributor management market intelligence and channel/shopper trends.
- Deep knowledge of the channel structure and opportunities in the region.
