Job Description
The Coombe Hospital is one of the largest providers of women and newborn health care in the Republic of Ireland. We care for up to 10000 pregnant women every addition over 1000 newborns are admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Centre and over 8000 adult surgical operations are performed. The hospital provides comprehensive care for women and newborns at local regional and national levels.
The hospital promotes and supports normality in pregnancy and child birth; the hospital also provides a comprehensive range of highly specialised care in high risk maternal and fetal medicine newborn medicine anaesthesia and gynaecology.
The Hospital is inviting applications for the following post:
Assistant Director of Midwifery & Nursing
Essential:
- Are registered or be eligible for registration on the Register of Nurses and Midwives as appropriate maintained by the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland (Bord Altranais agus Cnimhseachais na hireann);
- 3rd level qualification in a Health-Related subject or commitment to successfully complete within 3 years of taking up the post;
- Minimum 7 years relevant midwifery experience including 3 years at the level of at least CMM2 level;
- Demonstrate significant depth and breadth of midwifery experience as relevant to the post;
- Demonstrate evidence of relevant CPD;
- Evidence of change management experience in an acute setting.
