Role Overview:
The Outpatient Psychiatry Supervisor - ARNP - works with other dedicated professionals in a dynamic and exciting multidisciplinary team setting. Our team-based model of care centers on holistic person- and family-centered care that addresses all aspects of recovery. We incorporate evidence-based practices into our services including DBT EMDR CBT for Psychosis and WRAP among others to assist our clients on their journeys through recovery. Psychiatry Supervisors are the leads for our psychiatry services within our outpatient clinics. They supervise other Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners and work with clinic management to improve the overall quality of services for their sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts psychiatric evaluations and provides ongoing medication management services to Valley Cities clients.
- Provides supervision for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners.
- Collaborate with other members of our multidisciplinary teams providing teaching/consultation as needed.
- Facilitate case consult meetings.
- Attend regular meetings with clinic management coordinating psychiatry services with the rest of the clinic services and collaborating on clinical quality improvement for their site.
- Provides psychiatric care and consultation to VCCC primary care partners as assigned.
- Maintains required clinical and medical records in accordance with Federal State local governing agencies and community standards.
- Collaborates with other VCCC staff in maintaining high clinical standards and services within the outpatient clinic.
- Works in collaboration with VCCC administrative staff and committees in implementing VCCC mission guiding principles vision and goals.
- Maintains knowledge of major clinical trends and research developments in the field of psychiatry.
- Participates in Quality Improvement and program development as assigned.
- Maintain 60 % productivity level through direct and indirect patient care service.
What Were Looking For:
Education and Experience
- Clinical Nurse Practitioner Licensed to practice under state WAC and RCW.
- Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
- Thorough knowledge of general psychiatry.
- Ability to represent the program both formally and informally to various publics in the community.
- Three years of paid experience in the field of Psychiatry.
