As an AVP - Payments Transactions Lawyer within the J.P. Morgan Payments Legal team you will provide critical legal support across APAC jurisdictions. You will work closely with a collegial team to navigate the intersection of banking and technology ensuring compliance and facilitating growth in a fast-paced environment.

Our team supports a wide range of services including cash management liquidity and merchant services. We are at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge technologies like blockchain and AI into our operations offering you a unique opportunity to be part of transformative projects.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support and advice on transactional matters across APAC.
  • Review negotiate draft and finalize contracts with clients and partners.
  • Coordinate with global legal teams on cross-border legal issues.
  • Manage relationships with outside counsel.

Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Qualified lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong drafting negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Proactive team player with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable organized and detail-oriented.
  • Effective communicator with senior executives.
  • Ability to manage projects end-to-end.

Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:

  • Experience in bank financing and structured trade transactions.
  • Mandarin proficiency is advantageous as the role may involve engaging with clients based in Greater China.
