The Duchess Amsterdam is a stylish and sophisticated restaurant located in the heart of the city. THE DUCHESS opened in June 2015 in Amsterdams historical KAS Bank building and was awarded a Michelin star in 2018. We depend on the enthusiasm drive and dedication of our employees to succeed. The Job
Our Bartenders have a heart for hospitality and strive to deliver remarkable customer service. All beverages at THE DUCHESS are seamlessly integrated into the dining experience. The cocktail offering includes a unique selection of refined and often-overlooked beverages and a tailor-made wine list complementing THE DUCHESS cuisine with the most exclusive wines and champagnes from around the globe.
The bar was awarded Best Luxury Restaurant Bar of Europe at the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2017 Best Hotel Bar in Esquires Best Cocktail Bar Contest 2015 and Best Cocktail Bar in the Entree Awards 2015.
Job requirements
Requirements
Experience: Previous experience working in a bar or restaurant. This experience can be gained through entry-level positions such as barback or server or through formal bartending training programs.
Knowledge of alcoholic beverages: The bartender should have a deep understanding of different types of alcohol mixers garnishes and glassware as well as how to properly prepare and serve various types of drinks.
Strong customer service skills: Bartenders must be friendly personable and able to engage with customers in a positive and professional manner.
Ability to work under pressure: Bartenders must be able to work efficiently and remain calm in a fast-paced high-pressure environment.
Good communication skills: Bartenders must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers other staff members and management.
North Holland: Living in Amsterdam or nearby (flexible with commuting)
