Job Title: Cashier
Job Description
- We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier with a solid foundation in accounting principles to join our team in Ibadan.
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role along with proficiency in using ERP systems for accurate transaction processing.
- The Cashier will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient daily transactions providing excellent customer service and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities

- Process customer transactions quickly and accurately ensuring a smooth checkout experience.
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balancing daily receipts and preparing cash deposits.
- Use ERP systems to record and process payments handle refunds and manage transaction logs.
- Ensure proper accounting of all transactions and assist with reconciliation at the end of the shift.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints related to payments and transactions in a professional manner.
- Issue receipts refunds or change due to customers and maintain transaction records for reference.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and security procedures related to cash handling.
- Collaborate with accounting or finance teams to report any discrepancies and ensure accurate financial records.
- Maintain a clean and organized cashier station and assist with stock organization when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; additional accounting or finance qualifications are a plus.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Cashier or in a similar accounting role.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Proficiency in ERP software and other transaction management tools.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling cash and processing payments.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of cash management practices and financial reporting.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to security standards in handling cash transactions.
