Position Overview
A high-end Lagos restaurant pioneering innovative Asian-Nigerian cuisines where bold West African flavours meet refined Asian techniques is seeking a cashier who will be responsible for providing the final point of contact with our guests. This position requires outstanding accuracy integrity and professionalism in handling all financial transactions. The ideal candidate will be an individual who ensures every guests payment experience is seamless efficient and positive.
Requirements
About the Role
Serve as the final point of contact warmly greeting departing guests and professionally handling all payment processing billing inquiries and any transaction discrepancies with accuracy and tact.
Ensure meticulous financial handling by accurately processing cash card and digital payments issuing receipts and providing change.
Perform precise daily reconciliation of all transactions ensuring exact alignment between the POS system totals and physical cash reports.
Generate and submit a detailed End-of-Day (EOD) report including sales and payment breakdowns server settlements and documentation of exceptions while securely preparing cash deposits.
Perform general administrative duties including maintaining a pristine cashier station answering phones making reservations and upholding strict confidentiality of all financial information.
About You
You have a BSc/HND in Accounting Finance or a related field (Polytechnic graduates eligible)
You have 2 years of experience as a cashier preferably in a high-end hotel restaurant or retail environment.
You have exceptional mathematical and cash-handling skills with a strong attention to detail.
You are proficient with Point of Sale (POS) systems (e.g. Loyverse EPOS) and basic computer skills (MS Office Excel).
You have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is essential.
You are honest and trustworthy in handling money and financial data.
