Job Title: Production Manager Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the Production Manager are to plan organize and direct the activities of a manufacturing operating location. Responsible for production quality inventory control production schedules staffing human relations and meeting the productivity and cost goals set by management for a whole process/product or plant. Establish control-related standards and procedures. Provides help and assist in all the activities related to the department. - Manages all plant resources people Materials and machinery.
- Comply with all quality standards established by the company
- Comply with all company certification programs (EOA etc.)
- Comply with the budget established by the company (OTP) in terms of headcount/amount of pairs
- Control the WIP of the plant
- Create a daily production report that tracks production per hour
The following are an explicit part of the incumbents responsibilities and essential functions:- Participate in decisions related to the selection promotion transfer pay and discipline of assigned personnel.
- Clearly communicate job duties and responsibilities to enable individuals to proceed with certainty in the performance of their positions.
- Monitor the work performance of assigned personnel on a continual basis; conduct effective performance reviews; take corrective action whenever necessary and where necessary work with HR Generalists to establish performance improvement plans.
- Support the development of assigned personnels skills and abilities and demonstrate by personal example the desired standards of conduct (Jostens values) and work performance.
- Identify and resolve skill gaps and succession issues.
- Administer Company policies with regard to discipline absenteeism a fair and equitable manner and fully document all incidents and actions taken.
- Involve assigned HR Generalist on compliance issues such as pay equity equal opportunity in hiring and promotions and proper procedures for hiring terminations lay-offs etc.
Job Requirements: - Computer literacy and working-level skill with the basic MS Office suite (Word Excel Outlook Explorer)
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well both individually and in a team.
Required: - Bachelors degree in industrial Eng.
- 5 years of experience in similar position
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Strong leadership and management skills
Preferred: - Masters degree in productivity
- CPIM knowledge
