The Group Manager - Repossessions & Recoveries is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize all loss mitigation and recoveries related activities from the day the account is assigned for repossession until the day all pre and post charge off related activities come to an end.
In active partnership with Finance Consumer risk and the Service Operations leadership team (amongst many other stakeholders) this role is responsible for incorporating macro and micro economic considerations consumer behavior and historical trends to optimize repossession and recoveries strategies across the multiple participants and tenants in the space.
This role involves analyzing data identifying trends and creating innovative solutions to effectively pursue our collateral across a diverse number of activities that include but are not limited to:
Advanced skip tracing (once the vehicle is assigned for repossession)
Repossession practices which include coordination performance management and pursuit of best practices tied to this subset of the portfolio
Reinstatement and redemption efforts including the scrutiny of any recidivism derived from these practices
Transportation and disposition of vehicles and
Post charge-off recoveries activities related to the collection of deficiency balances and ancillary charges across multiple tier levels
This role is responsible for overseeing the performance and results of a multifaceted team that may include a diverse group of professional organizations including repossession forwarders recovery agencies and law firms. All in a manner that aligns with Toyotas values and adheres to all required compliance and regulatory requirements.
The Group Manager - Repossessions & Recoveries is expected to provide thoughtful leadership and subject matter expertise on repossessions and recoveries related topics including but not limited to contact engineering emerging technologies multi-channel support strategies and journey mapping. Manage the customer experience throughout the repossession and recoveries lifecycle while growing and developing a high-performance valued team.
