The Division of Policy and Strategic Direction provides strategic guidance data-driven insights and practical solutions to support the departments mission.
What will you do
- Serves as the Product Owner for the Restrictive Measures Notification (RMN) Outcome Tracking System (OTS) Technical Assistance System (TAS) OhioISP Community Transition System (CTS) Place on the Path to Community Employment Services and Supports and Rapid Response System (RRS). Leads cross-functional teams to identify system needs prioritize features write user stories and guide development through completion. Collaborates with IT and business partners to ensure system functionality aligns with DODD policy and strategic goals.
- Gathers feedback from stakeholders monitors bug reports conducts user acceptance testing and ensures data integrity and accuracy. Serves as liaison between business users IT and leadership.
- Reviews and triages ITS tickets; ensures timely resolution and accurate documentation. Acts as a system expert and supports efforts related to data reporting system enhancements and governance. Ensures data quality accuracy and integrity. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement projects tied to system development and user experience. Participate in Agile ceremonies refinement meetings and sprint planning. Provides training and technical assistance.
- Monitors changes in regulations and initiatives that impact systems proactively enhancing systems. Supports mentorship orientation and system alignment across product lines. Provide continuity in product ownership when other systems or staff are unavailable.
- Supports DODD priorities such as Employment First Technology First Multi-System Youth and Family Engagement through system functionality and integration. Provides insights and strategic planning support to the Policy Division and assists with data-informed decision-making.
- Conducts research on other states national models and agencies to support system design and best practice implementation.
- Participates in policy-driven Lean projects.
- Represents DODD in internal and external workgroups. Presents on system processes and data outcomes. Provides data analysis for Restrictive Measures Notification (RMN) Outcome Tracking System (OTS) Technical Assistance System (TAS) Community Transition System (CTS) OhioISP Rapid Response System (RRS) and other policy needs. Provides insights and recommendations to leadership based on data findings and system performance.
- Develops Tableau dashboards generates reports and ensures data integrity and accuracy. Conducts quality checks and collaborates with IT Business and Product Owners to resolve errors and improve reporting. Designs and automates reports to meet program and stakeholder needs
- Supports Employment First Technology First Multi-System Youth Family Engagement and broader policy areas by producing data that reflects service outcomes. Researches state and national models and synthesizes findings for leadership and policy development. Supports Policy Division initiatives with strategic planning data tools and reporting. Participates in Lean projects and continuous improvement initiatives and must obtain Lean certification (if not already certified).
- Works with policy teams on grant performance measures dashboards and required reporting. Assists with data strategy trend monitoring and building a culture of data use. Builds internal data tools to increase efficiency and accessibility.
- Collaborates on cross-divisional projects
- Leads or participates in internal and external meetings trainings and communities of practice. Provides technical assistance and trainings on data tools. Supports mentoring orientation and alignment of product ownership across teams and systems. Provides continuity of product ownership and data support in the absence of other system leads or staff.
