Job Description

Substitute School NursesDescription:Registered Nurses are invited to apply to be substitute school nurses at MarbleheadPublic Schools. School nurses bridge healthcare and education and provideevidence-based episodic care to all students from pre-K through grade substitute school nurse is responsible for implementing the school healthprogram in the absence of the permanent school nurse and/or will be responsiblefor providing health services to students who are participating in a school-sponsoredfield Summary:Implements students individualized health care plans as developed by staffschool nursesProvides medication administration episodic care to all studentsResponds to students health needsUses electronic health information system to document student encountersCommunicates with parents faculty and medical providers as neededAdheres to the Nurse Practice Act the guidelines of care established by theMassachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) and works inaccordance with the policies and procedures established by the MarbleheadPublic Schools
