Functional Operation Engineer:

Competitive Pricing Area part of the FM> Tribe seeks an enthusiastic Operations Engineer with a solid Operations and Techno-Functional background in the Financial Markets domain.

Financial Markets (FM) is the Banks gateway to the professional markets around the world. Our primary function is to service the needs of INGs clients with products services and guidance. FM aims to be a significant player in our market leader and challenger markets with an additional presence in all the major international markets and specialist expertise in selected emerging markets and products.

The team
You and your squad will be delivering key components spread over FlexING squads of Competitive Pricing area in Wholesale Banking Financial Markets. FlexING is focused on delivering solutions for sales traders and risk managers. We are specialized in derivative products covering multiple asset classes (equities commodities interest rates). Our business users are in London Amsterdam Brussels New York and Singapore. We are building applications to automate the whole flow from client quote requests to pricing booking and risk management as much as possible.

Roles and responsibilities
Your day to day:

Perform incident and problem management activities including root cause analysis to determine the actual failure cause and implement structural fixes. You communicate directly with users (Traders Credit/Market Risk Managers) on this from Amsterdam London Brussels New York and Singapore
You provide level-2 support in deploying and running an application/stack in production. This implies being part of an on-call rotation scheme.
Find opportunities to automate the testing of existing features performance and security as well as the automation of deployments monitoring and more. This is a key responsibility of the Operations Engineers
Perform data improvement by (re)configuring new and existing products reports and processes in general.
You understand the entire stacks technology on which the application runs and how it fits in the overall chain.
Build enhance and maintain tooling and scripts to automate repetitive or error prone tasks using the correct Event Alerts
Perform Functional testing and Change Management activities in order to ensure the safe deliveries from Test to Acceptance and to Production environment

Experience:
Have financial knowledge on interest rate and FX derivates valuation and market risk modelling (for ex. Greeks and VaR).
Offering functional incident management on a front office pricing application used within the Financial Markets domain worldwide.
Supporting end users in using the application; enriching the back-end databases with new products reports and scheduled tasks.

Tech stack/ knowledge:
Mandatory:
- Advanced knowledge on MS SQL Server and Transact-SQL
- Advanced knowledge of interest rates derivatives valuation
- A customer focus with the mindset to find and resolve root causes of incidents to structurally improve the customer experience.
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow Confluence Fortify
- A good team player cross functional enjoys interacting with people of all levels in a multicultural environment
- Proactive and attentive to others needs
