EVS Tech/Materials Management needed for our Valley View Surgery Center in Basalt!

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES:

1. Responsible for the procurement and position of supplies and equipment as required to maintain the highest possible degree of support to patient and employee needs.
2. Provides support for the OR and other sterile area cleaning.
3. Ensures the safety health and morale of patients visitors and staff and facilitates patients recovery by helping provide a sterile clean attractive safe environment with minimal interference to others.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Places stock and non-stock supply orders for the Surgery Center. Expedites backorders and handles supply returns.
2. Processes supply requisitions in a timely manner and checks for accuracy
3. Works with customers and suppliers to answer questions resolve supply problems and resolve pricing discrepancies.
4. Participates in physical inventories and supply cycle counting as required.
5. Keys patient supply charges and other documents into the MMIS when necessary.
6. Terminal cleaning of all sterile areas; OR areas required to been terminally cleaned every 24 hours whether used or not.
7. Act as a role model for those being supported by demonstrating knowledge and skill in all aspects of Environmental Services duties especially sterile area cleaning.
8. May be called upon to assist in other areas as needed.
9. Orients new and existing employees and assists VVSCB RN Supervisor in training and verification of competency.
10. Reports to designated area at scheduled time in uniform clocked in.
11. Wears proper personal protective equipment per policy and procedure.
12. Cleans and disinfects all of the different areas of the Surgery Center
13. Maintains floors and carpeting.
14. Removes and disposes wastes; trash containers are appropriately lined and maintained.

SALARY RANGE

• $20.41to$30.02/hour
• Entry salary dependent upon education skill set and experience.
