Job Description

Project Kuiper is Amazons low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast reliable internet to customers and communities around the world and weve designed the system with the capacity flexibility and performance to serve a wide range of customers from individual households to schools hospitals businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

In this role work with a team of engineers responsible for designing standardized test equipment used on the shop floor that can be built at scale as per the factory demands for contract manufacturing as well as Kuiper factory locations optimizing provisioning and testing time by partnering with design engineering and software teams partner with CM site representatives and provide recommendation for design for this role you will work across the org with many software and hardware teams identifying requirements prioritizing critical efforts and providing updates to senior management and stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain test fixtures to verify software on embedded hardware create and maintain documentation
- Troubleshoot hardware software and networking issues
- Integration and test plans development closely working with systems engineering software engineering hardware engineering and RF integration teams
- Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation solving complex technical challenges around production productivity and velocity
- Drive adoption of best practices in test hardware and software maintainability
- Contribute to standardization and process improvement activities.

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering or comparable industry experience
- 2 years of non-internship professional experience in IT and automated test equipment (ATE) support
- 2 years experience in project management skills including resource planning managing schedules reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects.
- Experience with embedded system test rack configuration integration and optimization
- Knowledge of hardware/software integration and validation processes
- Highly organized and autonomous very detail oriented and willing to learn new skills

- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating system
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements in manufacturing environments
- Experience in communicating with users other technical teams and management to collect requirements evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization
- Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python RUST Golang JAVA
- Experience with embedded software deployment and provisioning processes
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Experience driving technical standardization across diverse systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
