Accounts Receivable Manager
Schedule: M-F 9am-6pm CT
Department: Finance
Location: Tulsa OK - 100% in office
Pay Rate: $65K/year incentive

SUMMARY
The Accounts Receivable Manager is responsible for leading the accounts receivable department and ensuring he timely and accurate collection of outstanding customer balances. This role oversees a team of approximately 15 collections agents and plays a key part in driving performance coaching staff and implementing strategies that improve collection rates while maintaining positive customer relationships and cross-functional collaboration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead motivate and manage a team of agents to achieve monthly collection targets.
  • Distribute and monitor the flow of collection actions ensuring timely and appropriate follow-up.
  • Track daily performance metrics including call volume hours worked actions completed and total dollars collected.
  • Handle escalated customer calls and resolve complex account issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care OCEO and Accounting departments to resolve account discrepancies and streamline processes.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and implement best practices to enhance team performance and customer experience.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable credit and collections or financial operations
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume AR or call center environment
  • Proficiency in AR software and ERP systems
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis
  • Familiarity with performance dashboards and CRM tools

Proven ability to lead and motivate teams toward measurable goals

  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication especially in escalated or cross-functional scenarios
  • Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or areas for improvement
  • Skilled in balancing assertive collections with customer relationship management
  • Detailed-oriented with a proactive approach to problem solving and process optimization
