Job Description
As an entry level or emerging Design Engineer at Isthmus Engineering you will be part of our growing Transit team that collaborates with colleagues clients and agencies to efficiently deliver successful transportation-related projects. You will also have the opportunity to explore and develop in other service areas as you gain experience toward professional licensure. The responsibilities for the position of Design Engineer include:
- Collaborating with team members to efficiently deliver successful transit-related projects.
- Maintaining steady progress toward developing transportation-related engineering abilities.
- Supporting transit design efforts in accordance with governing design standards.
- Leveraging CADD based design tools in adherence with agency CADD standards.
- Supporting the documentation of Isthmus CADD and design procedures.
- Evidencing continued commitment to individual company and industry improvement.
Our ideal candidate must have:
- Bachelors degree or graduate degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- FE/EIT certification.
Our ideal candidate will also demonstrate the following skills:
- Interest in pursuing a career in transportation engineering.
- Aptitude for and desire to work with CADD.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and seek out support when needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

Compensation and Benefits
- The anticipated base salary range for this position is $65000$85000/year for a 40-hour base work week. Actual compensation will be based upon experience education skill level and other factors.

Stated benefits are for full-time positions. Part-time and temporary positions are eligible for limited benefits.

- Relocation is not available for this position.
