- This is a full-time role working at KAT Wholesale in Olathe Kansas.
- Salary Range: $55000-$63000 dependent on experience variable compensation based on sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Accurately receive and process customer orders for assigned accounts while identifying upselling opportunities and ensuring order completeness.
- Quotes & Bookings: Prepare and deliver precise quotes to customers follow up to maximize conversions and proactively identify new sales opportunities to grow the book of business while coordinating booking details to meet customer expectations.
- Delivery Scheduling: Oversee all aspects of delivery logistics as the primary dispatcher for internal account representatives. Ensure timely and efficient product deliveries by coordinating logistics tracking shipments and collaboratively resolving any delivery challenges.
- Resolve Inquiries: Respond to customer inquiries promptly and effectively providing accurate information and solutions to enhance customer experience and build trust.
- Document Activity: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions inquiries and transactions in the CRM system (Salesforce) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of activities and facilitating follow-ups. Additionally utilize the SBI system to track inventory levels and movements.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service by building strong relationships with customers in the book of business addressing concerns promptly and collaborating with internal teams to ensure customer needs are met and sales targets are achieved.
Essential Job Duties:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts such as expanding product lines or services
- Scale your book of business season over season meeting or exceeding established sales goals and objectives of green goods and hardscapes
- Build relationships with key decision-makers at assigned accounts to understand their business needs and develop targeted sales approaches
- Analyze account performance metrics including sales data customer satisfaction and market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Conduct daily calls and outreach communications with customers to enhance engagement and drive sales growth
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone email or in-person providing accurate and timely information.
- Promote product offerings to customers effectively highlighting features and benefits to drive interest and sales
- Act as an expert resource for customers by demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of industry trends products and services
- Document customer interactions in the CRM system (Salesforce) to facilitate follow-ups and improve customer service
- Act as the primary dispatcher for managing delivery logistics for all internal account representatives ensuring the dispatch board is filled effectively for timely and efficient product deliveries
- Collaborate with drivers to coordinate logistics track deliveries and address any issues that arise enhancing customer satisfaction
- Tag and organize products to ensure easy identification and accessibility taking photos of the latest products available for promotional purposes
- Conduct market research to stay up to date on industry trends competitors and customer needs and adjust sales strategies accordingly
- Stay informed about emerging products and industry advancements to provide informed recommendations and expert advice to clients
- Monitor and maintain familiarity with on-hand inventory levels and forecast future inventory needs to ensure optimal stock management and availability for customer orders
- Collaborate with account representatives outside sales representatives and operations team members to ensure optimal product availability maintain high-quality standards and achieve operational objectives through regular communication and coordinated efforts
- Ensure that customer orders are accurately processed shipped on time and delivered successfully while keeping customers informed throughout the shipping process
- Promote the company as a leader in quality service and availability effectively communicating the value proposition to customers and reinforcing brand loyalty

Minimum Qualifications:
- Required: 3 years in plant industry or related fields landscaping garden centers and/or nurseries
- Required: 3 years of experience in sales account management or a related field preferably in the landscape horticulture or related industry
- Required: Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain principles with prior experience in coordinating deliveries
- Required: Familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce) and ability to maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity
