Job Description
Tauhara North No.2 Trust was founded on its whakapapa whenua and whnau connections. As kaitiaki for the whenua we have developed the geothermal resources with the whakatauk to hold fast to the land and make use of the land for the wellbeing of Ng uri whakatipuranga. Since 1991 when the Trust was formed their investment diversification has grown to include farming horticulture geothermal energy and tourism.

Tauhara North No.2 Trust currently seeks a Head Contractor for four land-care contracts held by the Trust. The contracts entail industrial property lawn mowing weed spraying scrub clearing removal of wilding pines planting native trees ornamental garden maintenance and tree pruning. A full scope detailing each task timing and other requirements will be provided on request.
We are seeking whnau-owned business (self-employed contractor) to be our head contractor delivering mahi at a level that would require a fulltime team of 5-6 kaimahi. Applicants must have proven experience running a land-care type operation including managing their own kaimahi comprehensive health and safety and administering a business. Preferably you will have your own equipment and machinery but some of this may be available to purchase from us on a term payment basis.
