Job Summary
Join Dangote Cement Plc Obajana as a Manager Mechanical Operations and play a vital role in optimizing the mechanical operations of our cement manufacturing this role you will lead a team of engineers and technicians ensuring that all mechanical systems and equipment operate efficiently and reliably.
Your strong leadership skills and technical expertise will be crucial in driving operational excellence implementing best practices and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the mechanical operations of cement plants ensuring optimal performance and reliability of all machinery and equipment.
- Develop and execute strategic maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
- Lead a team of mechanical engineers and technicians in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues swiftly and effectively.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics and implement corrective actions to address any inefficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations in all mechanical operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and implement technological advancements.
Requirements
Education and Work Experience
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 18 years of professional experience in mechanical operations within the cement or manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial role leading engineering teams.
Skills and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and operations in a cement plant.
