Position Summary:
Iona University an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) seeks a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as Head Coach for its newly reinstated varsity Mens and Womens Tennis programs. This is a full-time 12-month position reporting directly to the Director of Athletics. The Head Coach will be responsible for building and sustaining competitive tennis programs ensuring the holistic development of student-athletes and fostering a culture of academic excellence sportsmanship and competitive success.
The reinstatement of both tennis programs marks an exciting new chapter in Ionas proud tennis history. Mens tennis began in 1953 capturing multiple league titles and producing three undefeated seasons in the 1970s. Womens tennis launched in 1979 becoming a charter member of MAAC womens tennis and earning strong league finishes. Both programs last competed at the varsity level in 2003 now its time to write the next chapter.
