Heavy Equipment Operator
The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate heavy machinery for earth moving phosphate plant & mining preparation & excavation projects.
Where will you work: Onsite Four Corners Mine(4 Corners Mine Road Parrish Florida 34219)
What youll do:
- Operates construction excavation hauling equipment including but not limited backhoes front-end loaders bulldozers excavators or grade tractors.
- Perform work sites for land clearing & excavation.
- Uses excavating machinery to dig holes trenches & earth moving efforts.
- Transports tools pipe & equipment to and from work sites.
- Operates machinery used in preparation for phosphate mining in the field & product inventory management in/around the plant.
- Inspects & fuel equipment for shift.
- Report the need for routine maintenance and repairs.
- Operate heavy equipment in close to proximity to people.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain necessary documentation.
What youll need:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy machinery operation and capabilities.
- Ability to read & interpret mine plans.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Prolonged periods of operating heavy machinery.
- Able to work long periods including shift evenings and weekends when necessary.
- Must be able to operate machinery in all weather conditions and terrains.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time.
