About the role


Christians Against Poverty (CAP) is seeking an enthusiastic Solution Support Manager to lead CAPs newly created Solution Support Team through a pivotal season of growth and transformation as CAP launches its refreshed services.

This leadership role is your opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people across Aotearoa. Leading a team of four you will guide a high-performing group dedicated to delivering timely effective and compassionate responses to client needs. Your focus will be on fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration ensuring that the Solution Support Team is working effectively with the Financial Mentor Team and contributing to relevant and impactful outcomes for clients. You will grow a commitment to ongoing learning and continuous improvement ensuring that the team stays at the leading edge of service delivery.


Youll oversee the day-to-day operations of the team ensuring that recommendations are actioned with excellence and that support systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your strategic oversight and people leadership will empower the team to deliver services that are not only responsive but transformative.


Key areas of responsibility include:


  • Monitor and support the service delivery outputs of the Solution Support Team ensuring quality and consistency
  • Oversee clients with active Debt Repayment Order(DRO) cases managing these effectively
  • Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service coordination
  • Develop team competencies fostering growth in performance confidence and capabilities
  • Provide oversight of staff training and support the assessment and sign off of Financial Mentors in Training

Youll also bring relevant experience for the role:


  • 2 years proven experience in a similar role
  • 2 years proven leadership experience in client-centred service delivery ideally within the not-for-profit or social services sector with the ability to guide teams through change and deliver impactful outcomes
  • Demonstrated expertise and experience as a certified Financial Mentor. Supervisory experience is beneficial but not essential
  • Familiarity with financial institutions systems and practices in Aotearoa
  • Proven ability to lead a team to increased purpose and work delivery and through change initiatives
  • Strong skills in working collaboratively yo maximise service delivery effectiveness and client experience outcomes
  • Emotional intelligence and professional maturity balancing empathy compassion and best practiceespecially when working with vulnerable people and navigating complex challenges
