Join us as a Qulaified Heavy Diesel Mechanic in our Christchurch based workshop!
We have an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join the Christchurch team within our existing workshop. We have a comprehensive heavy vehicle workshop at our Hornby yard which provides mechanical services for our plant and equipment. We also have onsite WOF testing onsite Auto electrical and an onsite paint shop that create the One-stop-shop for all vehicle repairs. Standard working hours include Monday to Friday 6.00am starts with varying finishing times to ensure works are completed as required.
As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic you will:
- Service and repair vehicles and plant.
- Complete inspections of vehicles and trailers.
- Report all failure/breakdowns/cause..
- Maintain a clean and tidy workplace.

Were looking for someone with:
- National Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering
- Full Class 1 Drivers Licence (Class 2 and WTR endorsements would be advantageous)
- A strong understanding of mechanical hydraulic and electrical systems
- The ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
- A proactive approach to Health and Safety its our #1 priority!
- A positive attitude friendly manner and of course a willingness to learn and upskill
