Job Purpose:
As Team Leader for Purchase Order Processing & Competitive Buying you will play a key role in shaping efficient and compliant procurement operations within DHL Corporate Procurement. You will lead a team responsible for managing purchase orders and driving competitive buying initiatives ensuring high-quality service delivery and continuous process optimization. By combining strategic thinking with operational excellence you will contribute to building a sustainable and agile procurement ecosystem that supports DHLs mission of connecting people and improving lives.
Your main tasks will be:
Technical management of the Purchase Order Processing & Competitive Buying team
Coordination and technical management as well as interdisciplinary cooperation to ensure quality and efficiency in task processing
Conducting operational and tactical competitions including tenders bid comparisons and price and contract negotiations
Analyzing and monitoring relevant procurement and supplier markets with national and international suppliers
Reviewing the purchased product range in terms of customer acceptance quality standardization and cost-effectiveness
Processing ordering processes in accordance with requirements in the relevant systems
Ensuring order adjustments and changes
Supporting the purchase-to-pay process and clarifying deviations
Communication with customers suppliers and sourcing colleagues as well as interface communication
Processing of Bizagi purchasing tickets
Supplier management incl. initiation of supplier master data topics
Catalog optimization: initiation and implementation of catalog optimizations
Data maintenance to ensure up-to-date information
Independent development and implementation of proposals for target processes for purchasing in the assigned purchasing segment(s)
Active project work
Collaboration in regional or global category teams as required
Special tasks
Your profile should look like:
At least 5 years of experience in Purchasing Customer Services or in a comparable function
Completed university or university of applied sciences degree and several years of relevant professional experience or many years of relevant professional experience
Excellent written and spoken German (fluent) and good English skills (at least B2)
Ability to work in a team and a strong as-one mentality
Strong competence in process and efficiency optimization Confident handling of MS Office 365 (Word Excel PowerPoint) MS Project and purchasing-relevant applications (e.g. SAP MM GeT COUPA Bizagi)
High level of negotiation skills
High level of personal responsibility as well as an independent and structured way of working
Very good organizational skills quick and competent analysis of complex issues
High quality and cost orientation
High motivation solution-oriented approach and above-average commitment and resilience
