Were looking for an SC Operations Manager at one of the leading logistics service companies based in Rayong.
Responsibilities
- Leading and managing logistics operations to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) and the required service standards.
- Monitoring and analyzing I&E of operations establishing business controls and providing solutions to reduce costs and increase revenue.
- Defining roles and responsibilities planning for the departments future needs and operations and counselling employees on performance.
- Working collaboratively with clients and departmental staff to ensure operational effectiveness adherence to policies and procedures and maximization of the flow of all incoming and outgoing materials.
- Supervising and developing staff carrying out supervisory responsibilities following the organizations policies and applicable laws.
- Ensuring information/knowledge resources are readily accessible and easily retrievable.
- Managing the quality system and continuous process improvement within the facility.
- Developing processes and driving continuous improvement while managing total productivity.
- Being responsible for meeting and exceeding customer metrics (cost quality customer service and supplier performance).
- Defining requirements for operations and ensuring the implementation of new strategies and initiatives to effectively meet or exceed requirements and customer expectations.
- Driving Lean Warehousing Systems and ISO 9001 QMS compliance.
- Ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
- Administering and communicating company policies.
- Regularly reviewing performance expectations with the leadership team providing expectations performance planning and feedback to team members.
- Being responsible for training and development and conducting performance discussions with staff.
- Maintaining good working relationships with customers.
- Having a good working knowledge of operations in areas such as line feeding distribution manufacturing inventory planning and materials management.
Qualifications
- At least 6 years of experience in logistics operations management providing overall direction implementation and continuous improvement in all phases of logistics solutions.
- A good working knowledge of operations areas such as domestic distribution warehouse management inventory planning transportation management and logistics execution systems.
- Well-versed in using project management tools.
- Highly developed computer skills with a focus on MS Office suite products MS Visio and Cognos Impromptu.
- Proven knowledge in transportation logistics and supply chain management.
- Strong strategic thinking ability with proven implementation results.
- In-depth knowledge of international transportation with regional emphasis/expertise.
- Excellent negotiation experience with subcontractors transporters and vendors.
- Experience with customs and regulatory issues related to logistics.
- Ability to travel extensively with short notice.
- Ability to re-prioritize workload to support urgent requests from various operations.
